My friend’s white “996" started life as a yellow 748. When I met him 7 years ago, his bike was in pieces due to a crash (on track). Only last year did he finally put it back together, while dumping the 748 motor, putting in the 996 motor, and also repainting it.

The red 996 here though, belonging to another friend, is sexy AF. It’s even been touched by Massimo Tamburini (R.I.P.)

In comparison, my 748 is plain

My favorite part about older Ducatis is how they sound at idle due to the dry clutch. So much racket, like there’s something loose in there banging around that shouldn’t be.
